Thinking Skills afternoon.
Emma, Lydia and Lisa thoroughly enjoyed their thinking skills afternoon. ‘It was really fun. Everyone enjoyed it. We did lots of activities that involved using our imaginations and creativity. ‘The activities included brainteasers and a craft challenge where we had to make specific items with limited materials. ‘We would love to do it again.’
Update on Open Evening/Morning
Last week we held two open mornings and an open evening to give parents the opportunity to tour the school and meet staff and pupils. Year 6 – Jessica’s Crystals
‘’This topic was about dissolving. In this experiment we dissolved lots of copper sulphate into a beaker of water. We then suspended some thread from a spill into the saturated solution. After a week the copper sulphate came out of the solution to create a perfect circle of blue crystals! Amazing!’’ Jessica

Olympic Torch
Lauren Hughes will be attending Bournemouth University on Wednesday 12th October where she will get the opportunity to hold the olympic torch for her outstanding achievements in swimming.
Congratulations to our Year 8 Football Team.
Congratulations to our Year 8 Football Team who beat Bournemouth Collegiate School 2:1 in the first round of the county cup competition. It was an extremely close game with West Moors Middle scoring in the final minute of extra time. Well done to all.

Congratulations to Abi in Y8 who recently successfully trialed for the Dorset Netball Satellite Academy. Abi is not only a keen netball player but also undertakes a gruelling swim training regime and is house rep.
