The school works to ensure that all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, benefit as fully as possible from their time at West Moors.

Pupils who have special educational needs, or a disability, are identified by reports from first school teachers, information from parents, test scores, teacher observation and assessment. If appropriate pupils with special needs will have an individualised educational programme which will indicate how their needs will be addressed.

West Moors has undergone significant building works in order to ensure that as much of the school as possible is accessible to wheelchair users.
